As you may already know, in order to receive your certificate, you must attend at least 80% of the classes as well as pass all of your exams and writing assignments with a 70% or better. If you fail to pass an assignment, you will be given a make-up assignment. If you do not complete the necessary make-up assignments during the course duration, you will need to submit all make up work directly to:

The Center for Legal Studies

Lakewood, Colorado 80401

Please be advised there will be a $25 administrative fee for each assignment submitted to our office in Golden. Payment may be made by check, money order, or credit card. You have 60 days from the last day of class to submit all make-up work along with the appropriate fees in order to receive your certificate. Failure to do so will result in a failing grade, no certificate will be issued, and you will have to re-enroll at the full tuition price. Any questions regarding this policy can be directed to our office at 1-800-522-7737.

Examples include, but are not limited to:
  • Submission of assignments based on ideas, organization, wording, etc., from any other source and alleged to be the student's own achievement.
  • Submission of assignments produced by, or with, the assistance of another, and alleged to be the student’s independent achievement.
  • Knowingly assisting another in the submission of work falsely alleged to be the student’s independent achievement.
  • Altering previous submissions, graded or otherwise, without instructor approval/request.
  • Copying or paraphrasing material/text, without proper acknowledgment/citation, from any of the following sources:
    • the work of another student; or
