The Center For Legal Studies and Texas A&M University-Texarkana will offer a Alternative Dispute Resolution Certificate Course starting January 9, 2017.
The Alternative Dispute Resolution is an intensive course designed to train and qualify students to develop or participate in conflict mediation processes. The course focuses on both traditional and non-traditional dispute resolution options. Course topics include “Why Conflicts Escalate, Why Mediation Works,” “The Mediation Process,” “The Role of the Mediator,” “Coming to an Agreement,” “Problems Encountered in Mediation,” “Developing Alternative Dispute Resolution Programs for Government, Business and Personal Disputes” and “Divorce Settlement Mediation.”
